Penguin

You are a penguin.
You waddle with your wings clenched
And stop to sit atop the egg
That is our home.
We huddle together and look up
To see the airplane,
Like summer clouds,
Decorate the sky.
You watch it as it passes overhead
And fall when you forget to turn,
As I do,
To follow its erratic course.
